Wedding Fallout!

I hope this adds a little more enjoyment to your day!
Everyone is familiar with the traditions that we all enjoy at weddings. One such tradition is tying things to the bumper, like cans, to make alot of noise and make it almost impossible for the bride and groom to slip away unnoticed! Well recently a young couple pulled into the shop complaining about a noise coming from the rear of their vehicle. We immediately noticed the shoe polish sign across the back window "JUST MARRIED". (Of course we looked to see if there were any stray cans still hooked to the bumper, but alas it could not be that simple!)
We took the vehicle for a test drive and sure enough there was a thumping noise, which seemed to come from below the back seat. I was not sure what the noise could be since I had never in 25+ years as a mechanic heard anything like it.
After raising the vehicle up the problem was obvious!
So what do you think it was?
