HeartLINK Health Services is happy to announce that VIDA Family Medicine has installed an automated external defibrillator (AED) at its Owens Street office.
VIDA understands the importance of providing community access to this lifesaving technology. Their commitment to safety is part of the Public Access Defibrillation Program (PAD), which aims to provide public access to AEDs and also to notify the community of AED locations.
HeartLINK Health Services has trained VIDA Family Medicine employees on how to use the AED to save a person's life.
"This is an investment in the community," says Jenée Bader, owner of HeartLINK Health Services. "Businesses that purchase AEDs and learn how to use them are a vital part of our public safety."
Here's how you can do your part to make the most of VIDA's investment in the community:
• Note the location of VIDA Family Medicine, at the corner of Owens and Liberty streets SE: www.vidafamilymedicine.com.
• If you are in the immediate area and encounter a person in need of a defibrillator, remember that there is an AED and trained staff at VIDA Family Medicine that could save this person's life.
• Learn how to use an AED and CPR to save a life. HeartLINK offers group training for your employees that uses American Heart Association curriculum, the gold standard in first-responder training.
• Consider installing an AED at your place of business and get proper training in how to use it. Your investment in the community could save a life!
