13 books were purchased by Greeters last week for the North Salem High library!
Jacinta Baker an English teacher at North Salem is spearheading this program to help set up a literacy lab for reluctant readers (mostly boys). The students made a list of books that they would like to have in their classroom, mostly non-fiction and are asking for book purchases to enhance their library selection.
We invite all Chamber members to contact Jacinta to purchase a book for this great program.

Woo hoo! Let me say that again woo hoo! The
Greeters Food Drive for
Marion Polk Food Share winded up, literally, with many pitches at the Dunk tank today at the
Business Rocks Celebration. Over
1300 pounds of food were donated today alone, with much kudo's going out to
Harold from Harolds Quality Auto, and $
