The Salem Area Chamber of Commerce is seeking nominees for its annual Business of the Year awards. First ... the State Legislature has not approved a funding level yet for public schools; however, we are required by law to have an adopted budget by June 30. This means the adopted budget approved on Tuesday night is based on our best estimate of the upcoming state public education funding level. With that said ... Help Salem Keizer School District to Buy Local First

Salem-Keizer School District is going "full steam ahead" on planning and implementing 46 projects related to the bond that passed the last November. Many of these projects will be bid in the next month and nine projects are currently up for bid. The Up-Side of Down: Salem is Prime for Smart Start-Ups
