The River Gallery is Worth The Trip

A few weeks ago I found myself with time blocked out for a lunch meeting and no meeting so I picked up my husband and we headed out to the River Gallery in Independence. It had been years since we had been there and as we walked around enjoying the artwork we wondered why it had taken us so long to go back.

I can’t believe that I have already been reading back to school ads for a few weeks when most of us, me included, are trying to eek out as much summer as we can without spending a lot of money. While our weekends are pretty much covered with the wide variety of fairs and festivals, there are still a number of low cost or no cost activities for those looking for something to do during the week.
Visual art aficionados should check out the 3rd annual Mayor’s A… Continue

Where's the Bear part 3

That was embarrassing. I had to have someone prop me up to reach the keys, then I couldn't reach the pedals. I think I saw a flute around this place somewhere, perhaps I will give that a try. It sure will be easier for me to carry around than the big 'ole guitar case.

Well, maybe I w… Continue
